Creation: This tiara was made by Garrard in 1973 using 96 rubies that were a wedding present from the people of Burma and diamonds from the Nizam of Hyderabad Tiara. The Burmese people believe that 96 diseases can afflict the human body and that rubies guard the wearer against illness and evil.
