Duchess of Calabria's Sapphire Tiara

Creation:  This tiara was made by Chaumet in 1936.  It was made using stones that belonged to Infante Alfonso's grandmother, Queen Maria Christina of Spain.

Materials:  sapphires and diamonds

Provenance:

1. Infanta Alicia of Spain, Princess of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duchess of Calabria née Princess of Bourbon-Parma; from her husband, Infante Alfonso, Duke of Calabria, on the occasion of their 1936 marriage
2. Unknown Owner; sold at auction at Christie's in 1982
