Creation: This tiara was made using diamond buttons that belonged to Queen Louisa Ulrika of Sweden.  King Carl XIV Johan had the buttons put on King Erik XIV's crown for his coronation in 1818.  The buttons were removed from the crown in 1909 and Queen Victoria planned to turn them into a tiara but it was not completed until 1976.  The two end buttons have a different design from the four center buttons.
